HealthJoy has teamed up with Teladoc Health, a renowned virtual care provider, to offer you confidential mental health counseling services through our platform. This partnership ensures that you have access to a comprehensive range of mental health care, including appointments with licensed therapists and, depending on your organization's configuration, possibly psychiatry services. Appointments are available seven days a week, providing flexibility to fit your schedule.
The Teladoc Mental Health service is designed to deliver high-quality virtual care for various mental health conditions. With the support of licensed therapists and, if enabled, board-certified psychiatrists, you can receive expert help for a wide range of issues. To get started, simply access the service through the HealthJoy home screen. You'll be asked to complete a brief mental health questionnaire that helps your therapist understand your background and current mental health needs.
Once your questionnaire is submitted, you can choose a time that works best for you, and appointments can typically be scheduled within three to seven days. During your visit, you will interact with a mental health professional in a manner similar to an in-person session, ensuring a personal and effective consultation.
After your appointment, the mental health provider will use a secure message center to send you a summary of the visit. Additionally, Teladoc Health’s licensed nursing staff may follow up with you if necessary. This continuity allows you to continue working with the same specialist throughout your treatment.
The Teladoc Mental Health service also includes support for adolescent dependents through the Teladoc Health Adolescent Mental Health program. This component offers crucial therapy services to teens aged 13-17, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ needs, relationship support, and more.
To access adolescent mental health services, the primary member should navigate to the Teladoc Mental Health menu tile in the HealthJoy app. From there, they will confirm that their dependent is seeking therapy services and complete the necessary intake and consent forms to schedule an appointment for their teen. A parent or guardian must be present at the beginning of the adolescent’s first therapy session to confirm their awareness of and consent to the therapy.
Please check your Benefits Wallet to see if you have access to Teladoc Health Mental Health.
